I'm scratching my head here @photoshop. When I import an image for editing, I set the color depth to 32-bit. In my case it was just setting the color depth to 8 bit in the Photoshop project from scratch.
This happened after the last Photoshop update.
When I select "convert to srgb" in the export options, it shows the same thing. It is thanks to compression that jpg is used. For some reason all my PSD files default to Illustrator and not Photoshop and I don't know why.
Or select File, then Export and Save for Web (old version).
