Your beautiful PNG images are possible. When I try to turn it down a bit lower (as far as I can tell) it spreads and for whatever reason does a terrible job with it. When blending images or exporting for the web, your colors look completely wrong.

a psd file is not very compressed, while a jpeg can greatly compress (and permanently degrade) the image. Any other format with limited support requires abstraction. Photoshop uses color profiles that can be confusing if you don't remove them.
